The meeting was calledto order at 7:05P.M. 1. Approval of 02.01.2010 Minutes: a. OnmotionbyMr.McCulley,secondedbyMr.DiBernardo,theminutesoftheFebruary 1, 2010 special meeting were unanimously approved. The votewas: IN FAVOR: DiBernardo, McCulley and Perreault. OPPOSED: None.ABSTAINED: Zanardi 2. Request to review citations: a. Ms. Elaine Schoolnik was asked by Mr. McCulley if, as stated in hercorrespondence, she acknowledgedthat she had been exceeding the speedlimit,ascited. Ms.Schoolniksaidsinceradarhadindicatedshehad beenthatin alllikelihood she ad been. She statedthat she has anexcellent drivingrecordandatthistimethefineimposedisahardshipforher. Shealsosaidthatshetravelsonthisrouteonadailybasis. Insummary,shesaidthatshewas seeking a reduction of the fine. Mr. DiBernardo explained that thisBoard cannot reduce or make changes in any fine imposed, thatthe onlyaction it can take is if it finds a citation has been issued improperly. Mr.ZanardireiteratedthattheBoardcannotmakeadjustmentstofines. BoardmemberssuggestedMs.SchoolnikspeakwiththeFirstSelectman’sofficetofindoutifarrangementscanbemadetoaccommodateinstallmentpayments.Officer Belcourt pointed out that the fine for the Citation issued wassignificantlybelowwhatwouldhavebeenimposedforaStateinfracion,andthattherewouldnotbeanyeffectonMs.Schoolnik’sdrivingrecord. Basedon the discussion, on motion by Mr. Zanardi, seconded bCitation#130 issued to Elaine Schoolnik remains as issued. The vote was:y Mr. McCulley,INFAVOR: DiBernardo, McCulley, Perreault and Zanardi. OPPOSED: None. 3.
