Seasonal Positions Available for
New and Returning Employees

The following positions are available,
pending budget approval.

Chester Parks and Recreation will accept applications for new substitute lifeguards at Cedar Lake Beach for the summer of 2008.  Applicants must hold current Lifeguard Training certification or be completing the training by June, 2008.  The rate of pay starts at $8.50 per hour and increases with experience.  "CPR for the Professional Rescuer" certification must be current.  CPR and first aid renewal are available through Commission sponsored classes.  Substitute lifeguards will be considered first for vacancies if current staff members resign.  Lifeguards have additional employment opportunities to be a counselor at the Children’s Summer Program, teach swimming lessons, or perform maintenance work in the parks.  Call 526-0013 extension 223 for a specific job description, pay rate, or with any questions.
