Office of Emergency Management

Special Reports: From The DEMHS Advisor

The Chester Office of Emergency Management has posted what extreme heat is, who is particularly vulnerable and what the different stages of affliction are. During the dog days of summer, we need to be aware of the dangers of exposure to heat for an extended period of time. We are all vulnerable to heat related illnesses, some more than others, particularly the elderly and very young. Our animals are also at risk especially if left in the car.
